Financing R&D

Finding the most suitable source of R&D financing is a major challenge, particularly since most sources of finance place heavy toll on the recipients of their funding – in terms of return, equity, control over IP, etc.

European Research & Financing, therefore, concentrates on such sources that are genuinely and strategically interested in promoting R&D, with no intention for financial benefit or attempt to gain hold of equity, or otherwise profiting from their financing activities.

While working also with other grant awarding bodies, such as the British DTI and Welsh Funds, the Canadian ICT, the American SBAM, NIH & DOD, Australian PICA and other such sources for R&D finance, our main focus is on the EU funded Framework Programmes.

Securing support from these programmes requires intimate knowledge of the system in order to discover and materialise the best opportunities they offer. These we offer along with some distinct professional capabilities which are employed to:

  • Define and amend the proposed research project so it should suit in the best way relevant calls
  • Identify the most suitable calls for your project
  • Finding the most suitable co-operation partners
  • Constructing the required Consortium, in terms of balances and professional complementarity, and/or helping in joining one
  • Negotiating and preparing the Consortium Agreement as required by the granting authority
  • Assisting in preparation of the proposal and the DOW to suit the requirement of the evaluation process
  • Negotiating the project with the EU approving and granting authorities
  • Managing the actual work of the consortium upon approval of the proposal and the receipt of the grant
